Infrastructure

From Mine to Molecule to Redeployment

VanadiumBank manages the full lifecycle of vanadium electrolyte — from primary sourcing and refining, through precision production and quality assurance, into a logistics network designed for custody transfer, and back through recovery and reuse. This page maps that chain.

Vanadium Sourcing & Refining

Vanadium electrolyte production begins with vanadium pentoxide or ammonium metavanadate. VanadiumBank sources from smelter by-product recovery streams and primary mines, with preference for ESG-certified provenance.

Electrolyte Production

Battery-grade VOSO4 is dissolved in sulfuric acid at controlled conditions. VanadiumBank targets 2-3 Molar vanadium concentration, with the final solution filtered and packaged under inert atmosphere.

Quality Assurance & Testing

Every electrolyte batch undergoes multi-stage QA including ICP analysis, titration, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and viscosity measurement. Each batch receives a Certificate of Analysis.

Logistics & Distribution

All electrolyte movement is governed by custody transfer protocols ensuring batch identity, quality records, and chain-of-custody documentation are maintained.

Recovery & Reuse Loop

Vanadium electrolyte does not chemically degrade with cycling. Recovered electrolyte is rebalanced, re-certified, and redeployed into new lease agreements on identical commercial terms.
